Mikesell BBQ

We had a barbeque on Saturday with the Mikesell side of the family so that everyone could say goodbye to Nichole, Jace and Elliot before they head off to med school! We had so much fun and it was so good to see everyone! Our family is so amazing with cute little ones running around. Everyone is growing, changing and moving on. One of my favorite thoughts that I'll cherish with my family forever is, 

"Family ties are precious threads, no matter where we roam. 

They draw us close to those we love, and pull our hearts towards home."

No matter how distant we may be, we'll always have strong family ties! Thanks for a wonderful time!

The Room

The room breathes her in as we ponder,
her final hours, her final breath.
Delicate, peaceful, lovely.
Just as she was.

The room is full of her,
a little of her eyes, her laugh, her smile,
in all of us.

The room stirs with her children who know it all,
and their children who will always remember,
her tenderness, her strength, her beauty.

We live and love because of her,
triumphant grace, her splendid passion.

We stand together, and breathe her in,
as we lovingly let her go.
